How early should I arrive before the workshop?

To ensure a smooth and timely start, we recommend that you arrive approximately 15 minutes before. This allows you to settle in, address any last-minute needs, and be fully prepared when the workshop begins. Punctuality helps us maintain a productive and respectful learning environment for everyone.

What should I bring and wear to the workshop?

• Tools - No need to bring any tools, equipment, or safety wear. Everything will be provided.

• Footwear - Close-toed shoes are required.

• Clothing - T-shirts, long-sleeves, shorts, and pants are all acceptable. Avoid loose/baggy clothing. For long hair, please bring a hair-tie to pull back.

• No AC or Heater - The shop has no HVAC system so temperatures will vary based on season. For colder months, we recommend bringing a sweater just in case. For warmer months, we recommend dressing in layers.

And lastly, please bring a can-do atittude!

Who can join Girl Buildrs?

Our platform is open to girls ages 5 to 18 who are interested in learning and growing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields. We welcome both beginners and those with some experience.

What programs do you offer?

Currently, we provide workshops, however, with your help we are striving to provide camps and internship/mentorship opportunities in the near future.

How do I sign up for a workshop?

You can sign up by clicking on “Book a Workshop”. Simply choose the day/time that interests you and complete the registration form. You'll receive a confirmation email with more details after registering.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

Since capacity is limited, please cancel/reschedule within 1 week of the workshop. This will provide ample time to move another student in the waitlist. Refunds will be full if request is made within 1 week of the workshop.

Are there any membership fees?

Joining Girl Buildrs is free! However, some specialized programs or workshops may have a fee to cover materials or guest instructors. Information about fees will be provided during the registration process.

Do I need any prior experience to join a workshop?

No prior experience is necessary! Our programs cater to all skill levels, whether you're just starting or already have some experience in building, making, and STEM fields.

Can boys participate in Girl Buildrs programs?

Our mission is to support and uplift girls and young women. In the near future, we will consider providing co-ed workshops.
